• Small Group Lessons (2 to 4 compatible students): $40/hr
• Private Lessons: $55/hr
• Private 30-minute Lesson: $30

Standing weekly appointments for lessons are preferred; paid monthly at the first of the month. Other arrangements can be made. Contact for availability and consultation for the best plan for you or your family member. We have an amazingly talented group of lesson horses who are all well-trained, retired show horses who are brilliant teachers in all disciplines.

Boarding & Training

At the core of the casual, friendly atmosphere at Nelson’s Equestrian Training Center, you will discover a sharp, competitive show mentality seasoned by many years of judging experience and success in the show pen. That’s why our lesson and boarding horses look like and are treated like show horses! Coaching and training emphasizes horse/rider suitability and communication, and teaching specific skill sets needed to meet personal goals.

Our facilities include:

• 8 stall “MD” Show Barn with Feed Room; 24×12 Tack Room; 2 Wash Areas; stereo system
• All stalls have fans; and lighting that is governed by an automatic timer to avoid winter coats
• Sheeting/blanketing/individual turnout is routine procedure when needed
• 2 outside stalls in pasture area
• 1 run-in shed in paddock area
• 12 pasture/paddock turnout areas w/hot-wired board fencing and freeze-proof water faucets
• Lighted 120×80 arena with EXCELLENT footing–no mud
• Lighted 60’ round pen with EXCELLENT footing
• Additional 100×60 riding arena (no lights; good/dry footing)
• 68×14 air conditioned/heated “Playhouse” w/refrigerator, microwave available for comfort
• Owners/trainer live on site
